OBJECTIVIST ROUND UP BLOG CARNIVAL

I want to thank Rational Jenn for the opportunity to host this week's edition of the Objectivist Round Up. Last week was hosted by Rob Abiera, The Morality War blog. I said in my post, HOSTING OBJECTIVIST ROUND UP ON 9/8, that I would submit a post with the title, 9/11 10 Years Later. I will submit this upcoming post to the next week's host, Roberto Sarrionandia.

OBJECTIVIST ROUND UP #217

Rachel Miner presents Mommy School 2011- Evaluation posted at The Playful Spirit. Remark by Rachel Miner: I share the results of my summer of home schooling. There was definitely a mixture of success and failure. I'm quite interested in suggestions for improvements.

Diana Hsieh presents Video: Introversion and Extroversion posted at NoodleFood. Remark by Diana Hsieh: In this video from my weekly webcast, I answer these questions: Are "introversion" and "extroversion" valid as psychological types? Sometimes people classify themselves and others as "introverts" and "extroverts." What does that mean? Is the distinction valid and useful? Why or why not?

Paul Hsieh presents Open Letter to Apple: My iPad and My Hip Fracture posted at GeekPress. Remark by Paul Hsieh: My iPad was my lifeline during a recent hospitalization. (This piece got a nice Instapundit hit as well.)

Paul Hsieh presents Let's Model ObamaJobs After ObamaCare! posted at We Stand FIRM. Remark by Paul Hsieh: PajamasMedia published my latest satirical OpEd, suggesting President Obama should model his jobs program after his health care law.

Ari Armstrong presents Nation Needs Shared Liberty, Not Sacrifice posted at Free Colorado. Remark by Ari Armstrong: Obama calls for "shared sacrifice," but what does that really mean? What our nation needs instead is shared liberty.

John Drake presents Measuring productivity posted at Try Reason!. Remark by John Drake: What does it mean to be productive? What ever your goals, you should be able to measure it. Here is my attempt.

Jason Stotts presents Starbucks Doesn’t Get It posted at Erosophia. Remark by Jason Stotts: Starbucks should stick to making coffee, because they don't understand politics.

Jason Stotts presents Chicago Minicon posted at Erosophia. Remark by Jason Stotts: This is a follow-up to my Chicago talk. If you're interested in donating, there is info here on how to do so. There is also references to essays by Ayn Rand on the foundations of the Objectivist position on sexual ethics.

Rational Jenn presents The One About Chicago MiniCon posted at Rational Jenn. Remark by Rational Jenn: I had a great time at the Chicago Objectivist Society's regional conference over Labor Day Weekend!

Martin Lindeskog presents Interview with Bosch Fawstin posted at EGO.
