I celebrated my 20th blogiversary on May 7. Here are some stats:

  • 1,633,887 page views.
  • 2865 blog posts.

I will keep this blog running here on Blogger's Blogspot, but my main focus will be my "last" forthcoming site, TeaParty.Media. Please take a moment and listen to episode 126 of EGO NetCast podcast, and then spread the good word! Thanks for reading my blogs, commenting on posts, listening to my podcasts, and sharing my stuff on the different social media platforms out there in cyberspace.

EGO ANNUAL BLOG REPORT XVIII

Wow! I missed to publish the annual blog report on May 7! Could it have something to do with book burning? For more on this topic, read issue #18 (MayDay: Do Not Burn🔥This🗞️Newsletter!) of Lyceum Bulletin.

I have now been blogging for 18 years and published 2842 posts. EGO blog has now been viewed >1 million times (pageviews so far: 1,363,463). 48 individuals are following this blog, and the blog has received 311 comments. The blog has reached 79% of the payment threshold. I will not ask readers to click on ads on this blog, but if you see an advertisement that you find interesting, you know what to do... ;)

I have been a bit more active on this blog during the year, due to the fact that I have set up this blog as a destination through my podcast host, Libsyn, so new episodes of EGO NetCast will automatically show up here as blog posts.

I will do an update on my birthday on May 25 with a special podcast episode, celebrating 18 years as a blogger and 14 years as a podcaster. I will also do a live streaming session, giving a "status report" to the buyers, backers and supporters of my first book on tea. I own the rights to illustrations (by John Cox) in the book, so I want to create merchandise that I could sell to tea enthusiasts.

I am planning to launch my "last" site, TeaParty.Media, around my birthday. In the meantime, you could listen to Tea Party Media podcast.

As a call to action, you are welcome to check out different ways you could support my blogging and work with new media activities. Click this link and go to my page on bio.fm.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT XIII

I have now been blogging for 13 years and published 2765 posts. Pageviews so far: 695,844. I will update this post with a podcast session in the near future.

Podcasting will continue to be my main focus during the rest of this year and for the years to come. I haven't been active on this blog lately, and I had thoughts on putting it on hiatus for some time, but then this happened at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland, Texas on May 3:

Please listen to my interview with Bosch Fawstin (September 7, 2011).

I have now decided that I will update EGO blog on a regular basis, at least a couple of times per week. The main topics (labels) will be: cat, politics and religion.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT XI

I have now been blogging for 11 years and published 2705 posts. My intention is to continue to publish stuff on EGO blog for at least 11 more years..., but I must admit that I have been thinking of putting the blog on a temporary hiatus. One reason for taking a blog break is that during the years of blogging, I have been adding new blogs to my content creation portfolio. At the moment, I am publishing additional content at the following places:

It could be hard to update all the above mentioned blogs on a regular basis. I will ask my fellow bloggers and contributors to write guest posts now and then. You will soon be able to read posts by a new guest blogger, Daniel Adetunji of Infowland.

As I wrote in my post, ANNUAL BLOG REPORT X, the main thing for the future will still be my EGO podcast on BlogTalkRadio. I have an idea to start a new site focusing on new media broadcasts in contrast to the mainstream media stations out there.

Pajamas at the Gate

I am planning to contact Influads for facilitating sponsorships of my podcast show.

One For You, New England (The SSP)

What kind of stuff will I publish in the future? I will go back to the philosophical core of EGO and write more posts on epistemology (reason), ethics (egoism) and politics (laissez-faire capitalism), but I will also mix it up with funny cat meme material, due to the fact that "Internet is made of cats"...

Internet Is Made Of Cats

As an ending note, I want you to stay tuned for my new project, Americanized.org. Please go to John Cox's post, Website Banner Commission, and read the comment thread and you will get "insider information" about the work of art.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT X

I have now been blogging for 10 years and published 2675 posts. My intention is to continue to publish stuff on EGO blog for at least ten more years...

As I wrote in my post, ANNUAL BLOG REPORT IX, the main thing for the future will be my EGO podcast on BlogTalkRadio. The next EGO interview will be with Anita Campbell, CEO of BizSugar and Small Business Trends. If you want to support my podcasting work, please "like" my EGO podcast Facebook page. You could become a sponsor of the show by placing ads on my EGO blog and an audio spot during the commercial break.

Some stats:

  • Authority #81 on Technorati.
  • Reputation on Alexa: 278 sites linking to EGO blog.

Scroll down the page and check out the section, Popular Posts.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT IX

I have now been blogging for nine years. Please send me suggestions on how I should celebrate my 10th blogiversary in 2012!

As I wrote in my post, ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VIII, the main focus for the future will be my EGO podcast on BlogTalkRadio. The next EGO interview will be with Lisa Bruckner, men's style expert and CEO of Hendricks Park. If you want to support my podcasting work, please "like" my EGO podcast Facebook page. You could also do as Christer Sjoback of SJC Aurum and become a sponsor of the show by placing an ad on my EGO blog and an audio spot during the commercial break. Another way of hitting the tip jar, is to give me a microdonation via the Flattr.

and now a word from Ayn Rand...

I am still striving for the "big break"... With that said, I have some new interesting things that I am working on, e.g., helping two fashion bloggers 2.0 setting up a site powered by Squarespace, and creating a social media p.o.s.t plan for an online marketing company with an affiliate and advertising network. I have started to write "social media 101" blog posts for a social media agency.

And now time for some stats...

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VIII

I had planned to publish my annual blog report VIII on my 8th blogiversary on May 7, but it got stuck in the pipeline! ;) After eight years of blogging, I thought I could celebrate, so I went to 3 Små Rum (3 small rooms in Swedish) pub and had one bottle of Three Philosophers beer.

Three Philosophers Beer

[Editor's comment: Do you have suggestions for the three philosophers? I pick: Aristole, Ayn Rand and Dr. Leonard Peikoff.]

Last year I wrote down the following points:

  • Strive to become a thought leader by attending Larry Genkin's Thought Leadership Marketing Mastery eCourse.
  • Write e-pamphlets / e-books on topics like the trader principle and hot & spicy stuff.
  • Assist and work together with "Charlie Bloom" on the start-up of NetZpider Network.
  • Continue with the podcast interviews on a regular basis. Please come with suggestions on guests and topics you are interested in.
  • Write pieces for other blogs, e.g., Open Forum by American Express. I am very glad that I have the opportunity to contribute with material to Anita Campbell's Small Business Trends.
  • Lead courses on social media this autumn. [EGO, ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VII, 05/07/09.]

I will be in contact with Larry Genkin and discuss his plan for "Personal Marketing Secret." I will read Helena Bouchez's white paper, Unique and Great and Visible: Three qualities of recognized industry experts. I found it via Susan Bratton's podcast (Helena Bouchez on Becoming a Recognized Marketing Expert).

In order to offer a valuable service to my clients who are interested personal branding and their online reputation, I have applied for ReputationDefender's affiliate program.

The e-pamphlet / e-book is still on the drawing board...

According to Kalle Blomqvist (a.k.a "Charlie Bloom"), NetZpider will be launched at Sharea (Sharea = Share + Area) in Gothenburg, on May 21.

I have had three courses on social media so far and we (Sensus and EGO) have planned to have a workshop in June and a new course in the autumn.

For my blogging plans, here is an excerpt from my post, AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF BLOGGING:

I want to continue to write pieces for other blogs, e.g., Open Forum by American Express. I am very glad that I have the opportunity to contribute with material to Anita Campbell's Small Business Trends and Small Business Trend Radio. I enjoy being a moderator at the social bookmarking and networking site BizSugar. I have received an offer from the marketing manager of ClearSense (part of European Directories) to start writing guest blog posts. (EGO, 05/03/10)

My main focus now is to get a good start with my new series of podcast interviews on Blog Talk Radio. First out is John Cox on May 23.

And now time for some stats...

AFTER EIGHT YEARS OF BLOGGING

I have now been blogging for almost eight years. I will post my annual blog report on May 7. I have decided to start a new series of podcasting shows on Blog Talk Radio. First out is John Cox on May 23. I have asked the following individuals in the past, if they were interested in participating in my podcast:

I am planning to start out with an interview every month and then later on increase the schedule with a show every week or two. I want to build a bank of potential guests over time, so please give me your suggestions on topics and guests. Do you want to participate as a co-host now and then?

Listen to my Cinch cast for my thoughts on the format of the podcast, tech. questions, etc.

In order to continue my journey as a social media enthusiast, I will strive to become a thought leader on how you could use new online tools for gathering business intelligence information and then implement the data through the whole organization, including the value and supply chain. For this purpose, I will set up Ego Sole Trader on Squarespace's platform. [Editor's note & full disclosure: Associate tag link.]

SPRING CLEANING

It is time to spring forward, jumping on the springboard and start getting busy with spring cleaning... I have as a goal to get everything in the right buckets and to have a clean working space within four weeks.
On May 7 is my 8th blogiversary and time for the annual blog report.

Morris in the washing-up sink
Morris will help me with the cleaning!

I have had my iPhone for about a month now and I am slowly getting used to it. I see it more as a multi-tool than a regular mobile phone. [Editor's note: Do you use MobileMe? I got a free trial for 60 days. I am not sure that I will continue with this service.]

I have to take some time and explore iTunes and update the iPhone to the 3.1.3 software version, so I could use Tod's iPhone application called Goal Meter.

In order to get back on track with my workflow, I really have to take time for my weekly review. I recently joined the "OProducers @ OList.com" and I look forward to get tips and suggestions on worklife productivity.

I have to take care of my email inbox in the near future. I look forward to read Merlin Mann's forthcoming book, Inbox Zero. Have you read Inbox Detox by Marsha Egan?

I have "lent" time for introspection and I have to invest more time on this in the future. I will sit down and draw a mind map. I will get inspiration by reading Unfolding the Napkin: The Hands-On Method for Solving Complex Problems with Simple Pictures by Dan Roam.

Do you want to see a sign of the spring season? Check out my post, SARIT GAT, on my other blog...

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VII

I have now been blogging for seven years. My long-range goal is to become a "problogger" so I could develop my blogging from an amateur hobby level into a real part-time job. The first step toward this goal is to read the ProBlogger book that I got from Cindy King and then discuss with her what I learned from the book and how you could continue this journey. [Editor's note: I became a pro-blogger already during my first year of blogging! ;)]

I the meantime I will continue to work for hard "currencies" like olives. I will take some "time-out" around my birthday on May 25, reflecting on my future online ventures and other activities. Here are some examples:

  • Write e-pamphlets / e-books on topics like the trader principle and hot & spicy stuff.

  • Continue with the podcast interviews on a regular basis. Please come with suggestions on guests and topics you are interested in.

  • Lead courses on social media this autumn.

and now a word from John Adams...

with some stats:

  • Authority #32 and ranked 174,586 on Technorati.
  • Traffic rank of 346,185 on Alexa.

Thanks for reading this annual blog report and for your support during these years! I want to end this post with a special treat.

POSTS FROM THE ARCHIVES

I have added a section with a sample of posts from the archives. I start out with listing my six annual blog reports. I will update the section now and then and rotate the list with new posts. I have now published 2320 posts. You are welcome to give me a list of your favorites.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VI

I did not have time to write the blogiversay post on my birthday on May 25. At the moment, I can really relate to the below image... [Editor's note: I can explain my situation more in detail if you send me an email.]

Book Cover Idea

I will take a short break from my regular blogging, but I will continue to be active in the blogosphere. During the summer period (June - August) I will prepare for my future blogging. I plan to use more "web 2.0" applications, e.g., video email messages, podcasting shows and Twitter notes. I want to write more on social media trends and business opportunities in network marketing. I will publish posts on the U.S. history on a regular basis. I am interested in acquiring new knowledge in critical project & supply chain management. My long-range goal is to establish "the third place" for entrepreneurs and business minded individuals.

Here are some statistics:

  • Authority #40 and ranked 169,442 on Technorati.
  • Traffic rank of 434,577 on Alexa.

The daily visits to my blog have decreased a lot, but on the other hand the subscriptions to the RSS feed have increased to about 100 readers. I have to look over the scripts from third parties and the overall design of template in order to optimize the loading and viewing experience of the page.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT VI ON MAY 25

I will do as in 2006 and write my annual blog report on my birthday on May 25. Please stay tuned...

I have to sit down, take some time and go through my resolving thoughts by conducting a "thinking on paper" session. [Editor's note: I am interested in getting coaching from a fellow blogger. I want to find a mentor out there in the blogosphere...]

I will start to focus on becoming a specialist in a certain field and therefore my blogging could take a new route. I think you get a hint in which direction I am heading, after you listen to the podcast interview, How To Become A Recognized Expert, with Bob Summers, reading the Sixty Second Tech Special Report: Twitter For Marketers by Cal Evans and my post, MOBILE PHONES AND PRODUCT CYCLES. Each link will create a strong chain and become a portal with wealth of valuable information.

ANNUAL BLOG REPORT V

This is post #1973. I have now been blogging for five years. I am planning to continue to blog, but I will take a short break around my birthday. [Editor's note: Do you want to buy me a present? :) If so, go to my wish list at Amazon.]

My Amazon.com Wish List

[Editor's note: You are welcome to make a donation to a "poor" capitalist.]

I need a mental break from the blogosphere for a short period. It would be great if I could get some of my fellow (blog) friends to do a little guest blogging as they did in August 2005. If you (reader / blogger) are interested in blogging on EGO, please comment on this post or send me a note by email. You are welcome to spread the word...

EGO

And now for some "stats":

At this moment, EGO has an "authority" of 65 and a "rank" of 67,136 according to Technorati.

Here is a snapshot from Sitemeter traffic counter. My traffic has gone down a bit, compared with previous years. I have roughly around 100 visits / page views per day.

EGO blog

I will add Google Analytics to this blog later on. First, I have to change the template...

So, what will happen on EGO in the near future? I will try to catch up with some of the new trends in business blogging. I will conduct a couple of interviews for my podcasting / radio show Egoist. Craig Biddle has said that he is interested in an interview sometime this summer / autumn.
