I received my first "Nigerian letter" more than 10 years ago. I had my own small business, importing stuff (mainly electronic and computer products). My post office box started to get crammed with letters from Nigeria, after I had placed an ad in an international trade magazine. Nowadays, the scams are delivered by e-mail instead of "snail" mail.
